Update May 28, 2021

Dear St. Charles Families,

Thank you to everyone who supported the SCS Golf Tournament  and/or Virtual Auction. Both events were a success! Many thanks to Board Members and Co-chairs, Debbie Konig and Caroline Morin, as well as Amy Mulrennan for help on the day of the Tournament.

Children at altar

This morning, Grades 1, 2, 7 and 8 attended a May Procession in the church. Thank you for leading us, Fr. Capuci! Grades 2 and 8 had an active role in the Procession. Here are a few photos of this special tribute to our Blessed Mother.

There is no school on Monday, May 31, so that we may observe Memorial Day.

The last day for PK3, PK4 and Kindergarten will be Friday, June 4. You will receive an email from your child’s teacher about last day activities. The last day for Grades 1-7 will be Friday, June 11. Students in Grades 1-7 will be dismissed at 11:30 am on Friday, June 11.

Grade 8 will attend school from 9:00 am until 11:40 am on Friday, June 4. Please note there will be no bus transportation for these different times. Families are responsible for transporting students to and from school on this day.

As you know, the restrictions we have needed to follow during the past fourteen months are changing.  As far as schools go, students and staff are required to wear masks indoors through the end of the school year. We also need to continue to sanitize our hands frequently and distance from one another. There will be many restrictions lifted for the 2021-2022 school year. I will communicate about the changes once we have a comprehensive list.

Please continue to be proactive about communicating illness information with staff at the school. Please inform us immediately if your student or anyone in your household tests positive. If someone becomes ill during the weekend, please email me so I may have information in advance. If your child has a fever, please do not send them to school. Also, if your child has any of the following symptoms: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, a new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or a runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, please keep your child home and notify the school office.  If your child has been exposed to COVID-19, please contact our school office immediately. By sending your child to school, you are agreeing that you have completed the home screening on a daily basis.

Have a safe and happy Memorial Day!

Mrs. Donna Cargill
