Weekly Update, November 12, 2021 Dear St. Charles Families, St. Charles School will host an in-person Open House on Wednesday, November 17, from 5-7 pm. All families interested in preschool through Grade 8 are welcome! Meet our students and faculty and tour our classrooms and facilities! We ask those who attend to wear a mask. On Wednesday, students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 had a Veterans Day program in the Upper Church. Students learned about what Veterans Day is, how it began, and how we can thank those who have served. We were blessed to have two special guests. Cheryl Przytula, Sergeant, U.S. Air Force, and retired member of the Air Force Band, played Taps. The Star Spangled Banner and America the Beautiful during the program. Michael Fresneda, Petty Officer Second Class, U.S. Coast Guard, and St. Charles parent, received cards and letters St. Charles students created, and will distribute them to active and retired service people at Hanscom Air Force Base. Of course, students enthusiastically thanked both for their service. The concrete steps to the Upper School have been replaced with granite risers. We hope they will last forever! The area in front of the Lower School was repaired as well. The construction work was a big attraction for our younger students. Construction of Granite Stairs
