Weekly Update

November 19, 2021

Dear St. Charles Families,

Grade 7 will host Sunday Mass at 10 am on November 21 in the Upper Church. We hope as many school families will attend.

Students will be dismissed early on Wednesday, November 24, for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Preschool and Kindergarten will be dismissed at 11:20. Grades 1-8 will be dismissed at 11:30. There is no school on Thursday and Friday, November 25 and 26.

Thank you to our student council members who led families on wonderful tours and our faculty who led discussions with guests during our SCS Open House on Wednesday evening.

We had a generous response to our Thanksgiving food collection for St. Vincent de Paul of Woburn. Thank you for your support of families in our community!

Sometimes, we just need to look around to find wonderful teaching tools. On Tuesday, Grade 6 used the hallway floor tiles in the Upper School to answer questions about perimeter and area.

Students in Grades 3-8 will attend a prayer service and the National Junior Honor Society Induction in the Upper Church on Wednesday.

Please keep December 16 open for the St. Charles School Christmas celebration. We will host an outdoor event beginning at 6:30 in the parking lot. We will have a caroling, snacks, and a wreath raffle.  Next week, you will receive more information about this event in a separate email.

Giving Tuesday is November 30. Please consider a contribution to St. Charles School on this day of generosity.

Please remember, students in the Upper School need access to a printer at home to print assignments that they need to submit.

This week, we learned that St. Charles School is the recipient of a $11,000 grant from Winning Home, Inc.. We are thankful for this support! We are especially grateful to School Board Member, Margaret Pinkham, for completing the application.

If your child has a fever, please do not send them to school. Also, if your child has any of the following symptoms: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, a new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or a runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, please keep your child home.  If your child has been exposed to COVID-19, please contact our school nurse immediately.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
